Brooks Taylor

Nickname: B.T. or Honky
Born: March 8, 1955
Instrument: Rhythm guitar

Nickname: B.T. or Honky - Named by Joseph Demro. Brooks says that Joseph had been bussed across down in the early seventies, and apparently on his first day of school the black children called Joseph "Honky." When he came home from school, Brooks was at Demro Alley and Joseph walked up to B.T. and said, "You're a Honky." The name stuck.

Then: Brooks was the first (6th) person to be added to original five of CSA and came into Midnight Sun to play rhythm guitar. Brooks also played some lead guitar and sang backup. He remained with the band until it disbanded in 1974. Since Midnight Sun B.T. has not played for any other bands.

Now: Brooks is married to Kathy and they live in Chesterfield. They have been married 25 years. He has two children, Lindsay (21) and Malcolm Brooks, III (16). Brooks has an auto reupholstery business. When asked if he still played music, Brooks said, "Only on the radio."
