Nickname: Wahoo - Named by Marion Spain.

Then: William joined Midnight Sun in late 1970 or early 1971. He and Chip were in cadet band together at George Wythe High School. The music of Chicago was big at that time and Midnight Sun decided to add a brass section. William played tenor sax. He left Midnight Sun in late 1972.

Now: William and his wife Linda live in Bremo Bluff, Virginia and have been married 28 years. William works for the Fire Protection Department at the University of Virginia which is responsible for installation, maintenance, and testing of the fire alarm and sprinkler systems at UVA. He is also a volunteer fireman with Fork Union Fire Company. Linda is employed by Goochland County and works with pre-school kids. They have three grown children, Jonathan (26), Pamela (22) and Michael (19).

Fond Memories of Midnight Sun: We played several upbeat songs and the audience didn't react. It was a New Year's gig. We played a slow song, then the females danced with the females and the males with the males. We didn't know the place was a gay club until then. What a New Year's surprise!!!

Favorite Song that Midnight Sun performed: Wahoo couldn't choose a favorite. He loved them all.
